Misr El Kheir Foundation launched, today, Tuesday, December 20, the Egyptian Volunteer Work Charter for Sustainable Development.

The launch came within the framework of the activities taking place in Egypt to celebrate International Volunteer Day, in the presence of 30 experts in volunteer work from various entities

During the round table organized by the Misr El Kheir Foundation entitled

“The Egyptian Volunteering Movement: Reality and Opportunities for Growth,” in which 30 experts and representatives of local and international bodies sponsoring volunteering participated. During the meeting’s activities, Misr Al-Khair’s experience in volunteering was reviewed, as well as the current situation of volunteering and supporting initiatives in Egypt, while presenting the contributions of volunteering and youth initiatives in achieving sustainable development.

The table discussed several topics, as follows:

* First axis: The Egyptian volunteer movement (challenges/growth opportunities).

* The second axis: The current contribution of the volunteer movement and initiatives to achieving the sustainable development agenda and national projects.

The future of the partnership between the private sector and both the government and private sectors was also discussed in order to support the volunteer movement and youth initiatives in Egypt while supporting development efforts.
