The problem addressed by the practice:
The issue of water is one of the most important issues related to human health and its continuity and quality. The importance of this issue increases if it is linked to pure drinking water, as many poor and deprived families suffer from pure drinking water services. This is due to several reasons, the most important of which is the inability to pay for water delivery fees and requirements, as well as the lack of main supply lines.
With water, as Egypt is one of the water-poor countries, and considering that water is the basis of life, the resource must be preserved from wasting or deteriorating, as it is known that irrigation systems in the old lands in Qena Governorate are irrigated by flooding, as well as the deterioration of the condition of the waterways and the unevenness of the lands. All of this leads to wasting large amounts of irrigation water.
The project attempts to address the following problems: -
The inability of poor families to deliver clean, usable drinking water due to the high cost of water delivery
The lack of main lines for drinking water supply
Waste of irrigation water due to deteriorating condition of waterways and uneven land
Relying on traditional irrigation systems (flood irrigation)
Weak people's awareness of water issues
The problem can be formulated in :
A number of 8,175 poor families in the villages of Qena Governorate suffer from a shortage of drinking water and wastage of irrigation water at a rate of up to 25% due to improper treatment with water, as of June 2016 AD, as far as possible to count.
