The center of Edfu and its villages and hamlets lack health care, as the residents of Upper Egypt villages suffer from many diseases, most notably malnutrition, rheumatism, heart disease for children, eye diseases, and kidney and liver failure, in addition to the lack of health services in most villages and their concentration in the main cities, the poor quality of those provided in government health units, and the high prices of health services provided by the private sector. Accordingly, the project aims to contribute to providing the health needs of the residents of the Edfu center in general and the village of Al-Ghunaimiya in particular, to alleviate their suffering, in line with the government’s interest in the health field and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, where some health units in the main villages were demolished, rebuilt, and rehabilitated within the framework of the comprehensive health insurance system, and in view of the suffering of most of the people of the village of Al-Ghunaimiya and neighboring villages from high rates of poverty, and from the low level of health and medical services, especially the units. rural areas and hospitals, and the weak financial capabilities of most citizens to bear the burden of treatment in private clinics and hospitals and their inability to travel for treatment with famous doctors in the governorates of Sohag, Assiut, Cairo and Alexandria. All of this required the institution to support the capabilities of its own medical center to provide health and medical services, improve their quality, and train cadres to cover the shortage of jobs for paramedics, nursing assistants, and health nutrition specialists. The institution follows a strategy of partnership and cooperation with the concerned parties, including the Faculty of Medicine and the Nursing Institute at Aswan University. The project targets (137) of the poorest families through health intervention for the head of the family and all members of his family through the following interventions:
Discovery and examination by specialists in all specialties .
Performing medical tests (complete blood count - kidney function - liver function - C and B viruses - urine - stool)
Sound ultrasound examination of the heart, abdomen, liver, pelvis, gynecology and childbirth
Dispensing treatment
Performing surgical operations
Proper nutrition (theoretical and practical training)
Recruiting medical convoys in cooperation and participation with competent authorities such as :

Anemia and malnutrition, causes and treatment
Drugs and their harm to health Other topics that affect health, such as awareness of the damage caused by fires of palm trees, palm trees, and cane safir
Training a number of cadres in the field of assistive medical services (nurse and paramedic assistant) and preparing healthy food.
