The project addresses society’s lack of awareness of the blind child’s abilities, given that blind people always rely on others for their personal affairs or moving between places due to their lack of training. To achieve self-reliance and leave the blind child without enrolling him in formal education. The blind person who has missed the age of formal education does not know that he can complete his education by eradicating illiteracy. Aid from anyone and the project will organize literacy courses and special training courses to develop technology skills using speaking computers for the blindThe association has a boarding house as its affiliated shelter institution and has 30 resident blind children who come weekly from different and distant places to enroll them every morning in the government school for the blind (formal education) and the project is based on (Developing the skills of these children) and the children of the blind school in Minya in general, while holding specialized courses for teachers, and we do the following.
- A club to develop skills for internal children to learn life skills that help them become self-reliant, such as self-care and also walking with a white cane, with a focus on mastering writing on Braille typewriters by purchasing 6 Braille typewriters and conducting training sessions by specialized teachers.
- Conduct an entertaining and educational trip for all 60 children in the school, such as visiting other schools for the blind and entertainment places.
- A complex skills development club that includes 60 blind children and 30 supervisors
The direct target group of the project
- 90 blind children are taught the typewriter. We are raising a generation that is proficient in using the typewriter and this will benefit them most in the long run in their studies at university.
- Teaching children the white cane and how to use it, which will create, in the long run, community awareness about the blind person and visual impairment in general (before White Cane Day).
- 3- The blind learns independence, self-reliance, and gains self-confidence to move and navigate on his own and without an accompaniment when taught to walk with a white cane

- Families of the blind through how to deal with the blind person and how the correct orientation and movement for him
