With funding and partnership with the European Union, the Misr El Kheir Foundation launches the project “Enhancing the Role of Civil Society Organizations in Sustainable Development and Climate Action “Sustainable Empowerment,” which is implemented in four governorates.

During yesterday’s event, the Misr El Kheir Foundation launched the project “Enhancing the Role of NGOs in Sustainable Development and Climate Action “Sustainable Empowerment” - funded by the European Union for a period of four years and implemented in 4 governorates: (Aswan - Luxor - Beni Suef - Fayoum)

The inauguration and launch of the project were attended by representatives of the local administration, executive and community leaders in the targeted governorates, partner NGOs, a number of representatives of international bodies and experts in civil and development work

During the meeting activities, a dialogue session was organized entitled: The role of civil society organizations in achieving sustainable development, in which experts from the National Planning Institute, the Information and Decision Support Center, and the National Council for Human Rights participated.

The meeting concluded with a signing ceremony of cooperation and partnership protocols between Misr El Kheir and partner NGOs in the targeted governorates.

It is worth noting that the project aims to “develop the capabilities of civil society organizations in aspects of governance and effective management, in addition to helping them formulate a development vision for sustainable development and climate action, and establishing a clear and effective mechanism for the participation of civil society organizations in decision-making and policies for implementing goals for sustainable development and climate action at the local and national levels.”
