Arafat Rafiq Murtaja has extensive professional and humanitarian experience spanning more than 17 years in the civil society sector in the Gaza Strip, where I currently hold the position of financial director for one of the associations specialized in cancer patient care. My professional performance was based on an academic background by obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Al-Azhar University in Gaza, supported by a long career in student and trade union activity. The roots of my passion for development work go back to my early involvement in the pioneering scouting teams since their founding in 1993, an experience that had the most prominent impact in refining my personality and enhancing my values of commitment, volunteer and humanitarian work.
