• The Baqour Association  was founded in 1969 and was initially called the Social Affairs Association  and provided some assistance to the people of the village. The philosophy of civil social work until the end of theseventies  was based on Sponsorship only with righteousness and charity programsThen its name was changed to the Community Development Association in Baqour.
• Changes occurred in the areas of the association's work, as the association purchased a carpentry workshop and an apiary for producing honey from the local unit of Baqur village after putting them up for sale in a public auction. Through them, the association was providing production services to the people of the village in addition to investing in them as a training center. A vocational facility to train village youth in some crafts and professions.
• During the second decade of the current century, the association's view and interaction with society, the environment, and the care ofspecial groups crystallized, and it adopted issues that concern and suffer from society, such as issues ofdisability, child laborand children. Those at risk, protecting the environment and reproductive health, and the association’s methods that it will work in have expanded to include methods of advocacy and gaining support alongside methods of care and development in order to reach stronger and faster results that benefit all Egyptian society and not just the association’s scope of work, which is Assiut Governorate, and this appeared in its mission statement.

The association is still and will continue to carry out its mission towards community development, especially child and youth care, in accordance with the social changes that have emerged and the resulting new requirements for social service. The association will continue to develop its purposes and activities to suit these requirements so that they benefit from them. The largest number of citizens.
